Sacked NRL Titans star Kevin Proctor’s ex-wife Leesa Fife unveils stunning coastal reno

HER split with sacked Titans star Kevin Proctor was linked to one of NRL’s most perplexing scandals, but Leesa Fife has marked a fresh start for her young family in their newly renovated home.

The Gold Coast mum-of-two has unveiled the character-filled coastal cottage dubbed Myza Villa, which is available as a holiday rental property over summer.

Ms Fife purchased the Miami property in August 2021, following the sale of the Burleigh Waters family home she shared with New Zealand international forward Proctor and their two daughters, Zara, 8, and Myra, 6.

The couple had not publicly announced their separation, but it made headlines last year after Proctor posted a social media video of himself vaping in the Titans changeroom toilets during a match.

The former Gold Coast skipper was subsequently axed from the the club, while his manager Chris Orr said Proctor, 33, was struggling with personal issues including the breakdown of his marriage to Ms Fife.

Ms Fife, 33, said focusing on creating a “safe, happy place” had helped her heal from the split following a tumultuous period without a stable place to call home.

“There was about six months where we were shuffling around and living from a suitcase, between hotels and Airbnbs.

“We’d sometimes stay with my mum but she was in NSW and with the Covid border closures it was a very unsettling time, constantly moving around or getting stuck in two-hour traffic to get the girls across the border to school.”

It was built by TMD Constructions

She met Proctor when they were both students at Palm Beach Currumbin High School and the couple was married in 2019.

Proctor recently landed in the UK after signing a one-year deal to play with Super League side, Wakefield Trinity.

Ms Fife’s new home was rebuilt by TMD Constructions.

“I wanted a fresh start for me and the kids, and to create that feel that it was our own little getaway — a safe, happy place to come home to every day,” she said.

The house will be available as short-term accommodation for up to seven guests from $550 a night during holiday periods.

There’s even an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach

“As a single mum, it was a good opportunity for me to bring in a stream of income, and as soon as I listed, it was booked out for that period of time within a week.

“It’s really kid-friendly with enough room to host a family which I think was very appealing.

“The villa has a mix of Mediterranean and coastal cottage vibes and it is located in the heart of Miami, 1km to North Burleigh with all of the best beaches and restaurants at your doorstep,” Ms Fife said.

The original 1980s duplex was gutted and remodelled with raised ceilings and another bedroom and bathroom added, resulting in a spacious three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with open-plan living spaces and high-end finishes.

An entertaining patio leads onto a landscaped backyard and firepit area, while features such as antique Indian doors and breeze block exterior walls lend extra character.
