Chevron One penthouse to be the biggest in Queensland

The Daylight sky homes in Chevron One will be some of the largest on the Coast.

A penthouse topping the Chevron One Residences building in Surfers Paradise is set to be the biggest ever built in Queensland.
Measuring more than 1700sq m – 946sq m internal and a further 774sq m under roof –
the mega-apartment will not only be the largest but also the most expensive, with a valuation of $22 million.

Renders of the penthouse have yet to be released but its design will mirror the sky homes.

It will feature five bedrooms, four bathrooms and take out the upper two floors, 40-41, of the building, with parking for eight cars offered at basement level.
It can comfortably take over the moniker of “largest penthouse in Queensland” after a proposed 1899sq m super sky home, which was to top an ambitious tower called Spirit in Surfers Paradise, failed to materialise, with the developer forced to sell the site.
Plans for the Chevron One penthouse were revealed this week as Melbourne-based Bensons Property Group opened sales for homes in the final stage of its project located in Stanhill Drive, Surfers Paradise.

Daylight sky homes will start at $1.5 million for a two-bedrooms.

Andrew Crichton, the project’s sales and marketing manager, said that although the project launched in 2018, details of the apartments across the top 10 storeys were held back.
Mr Crichton said the existing plans had now been reconfigured, with the developer reducing the number of apartments to 37 over-scaled homes, priced from $1.5 million.
Branded Daylight, the sky homes will feature large wraparound balconies offering panoramic views, and luxury fixtures including calacutta marble, natural silestone and bespoke joinery.

They will feature calacutta kitchen benches.

Mr Crichton said the release of the final stage was made ahead of schedule to capitalise on strong market demand for large luxury apartments.
Yet those eyeing off the trophy penthouse may be disappointed to learn that it has already been reserved for Bensons Property Group chairman Elias Jreissati.

The vistas will take in the sea and city skyline.

Although based in Melbourne, Mr Jreissati, who owns a house on Ephraim Island, spends about six months of the year on the Gold Coast and is a big advocate of the city.
He intends to relocate to the Coast with his wife and daughters, who will occupy sky homes on the floors below the penthouse in Chevron One Residences.

They will also feature bespoke joinery.

Mr Crichton said the initial interest in Daylight had been overwhelming, and sales of apartments in the rest of the building, which start at $1 million, were also ramping up
In total, Chevron One Residences will house 228 apartments over 41 storeys, with construction anticipated to start this quarter, completing in 2024.
It will be a welcome milestone for the developer after speculation that the tower, like Spirit, would fail to come to fruition.

The sky homes are larger than many free-standing homes..

But Mr Crichton said Bensons Property Group was dedicated to the Chevron One project, with Mr Jreissati’s intention to retain the penthouse and several other sky homes cementing that position.
Chevron One is the first Gold Coast project for the developer, but Mr Crichton said there were others in the pipeline, which would be revealed once construction on Chevron One was under way.

There will be 228 apartments in total once the project is complete.
