Car enthusiast Adrian Portelli buys Gold Coast mansion off international DJs New World Sound

CAR enthusiast and online promotions guru Adrian Portelli has bought international DJ group New World Sound’s Gold Coast mansion in a “spontaneous” $2.3 million deal.
CoreLogic records reveal the house at Sanctuary Cove hit the market in March before selling last month.

Adrian Portelli has dropped $2.3 million on a property in Sanctuary Cove.
The property was only built last year.

Mr Portelli founded auto enthusiast club LMCT+, a promotions and giveaway platform with a focus on luxury vehicles and prestige houses.
He is also behind charity The Little Legends Foundation, which aims to help brighten the lives of sick and disabled children.
“I was sent the house by a friend and had to go have a sticky beak,” Mr Portelli said.
“I had to go take a look with no solid intention to purchase, however upon arrival and within 10 seconds of walking into the house I made them an offer.
“It was definitely a spontaneous purchase and I did tell the agents this was my offer and if you came back with a counteroffer I would walk away.”

Mr Portelli, who is based in Melbourne, owns another property on Hope Island and is also building a house in Sanctuary Cove a few streets away from his latest purchase.
“The Gold Coast is a great alternative to Melbourne to mix it up a little and to avoid the cold winters,” he said.

The property is on the waterfront.
It also has a pool.
Vendors Ty and Jesse Taylor, who make up electronic DJ and record production duo New World Sound, bought the waterfront block at Sanctuary Cove in November, 2020.
They enlisted Unique Homes, a Burleigh Heads-based company, with the design and construction of the property.
The end result, completed in December, 2021, was a modern Mediterranean-inspired showstopper house named Asylo.

Gold Coast DJs New World Sound have sold their Gold Coast property.

“Asylo is the Greek word for sanctuary,” Jesse told the Bulletin when the house first hit the market.
“When Ty said it we thought it was perfect as the house is in Sanctuary Cove and it’s our own little sanctuary.
“It’s really inspired by the look and feel of the Greek Islands.”
