Mick Doohan’s luxury Gold Coast estate where Hollywood star Johnny Depp’s marriage to Amber Heard imploded and the tip of his finger was allegedly severed by a hurled vodka bottle in 2015 will go under the hammer on September 28.
It was also the venue where Heard’s dogs Pistol and Boo sparked a biosecurity blow-up that year after Depp and Heard failed to declare they were travelling with the Yorkshire terriers when they arrived in Australia via private jet.
The dogs presence in Australia became known after they were taken to a Gold Coast pooch groomer.

Owned by former 500cc motorcycle world champion Doohan, the sprawling and secluded 10 bedroom, 10 bathroom home, known as Diamond Head, is set on 18 hectares (44.48 acres) and boasts frontage to the Coomera and Pimpama rivers, a helipad, a 2000-bottle wine cellar, a cinema, gymnasium, a six-car garage, private jetty, pool, tennis court, go-kart track, a caretaker’s cottage, a separate guesthouse and a landing strip for private planes.
The home, which has also been rented by Brad Pitt, first hit the market in March 2021 through an expression-of-interest campaign.

It is now going to auction in a matter of weeks with Amir Prestige Real Estate handling the sale.
Doohan bought the property in 1996 for $1.7m and turned it into the luxury haven it is now.
The property hit the headlines in April when the ugly carry on between Heard and Depp while in Australia in 2015 for the filming of the fifth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was raked over as part of Depp’s defamation trial against his ex-wife.
The court in Virginia in the US was told that $50,000 worth of damage had been done to the home during the argument between the pair which resulted in Depp’s finger being severed.
The digit was located beside the bar in the house after Depp thought it had landed in a bin.
While there is no estimate available for what price Doohan is hoping the property will make at auction, several years ago the estate was mooted to be worth around the $40 million dollar mark.
