In recent years the Gold Coast has emerged as one of the nation’s hottest luxury real estate regions, and there’s no sign of the market slowing down with a new prestige suburb where buyers have the chance to create genuinely stylish contemporary homes.
Australia is obsessed with lifestyle property
However, it’s rare to find vacant land in a sought-after postcode where buyers have the chance and scope to build something remarkable.
So, it’s no wonder the arrival of SkyRidge, a new stunning top-tier residential community nestled in the Gold Coast hinterland, is catching the attention of aspirational home builders.
Enjoy the best of both worlds at SkyRidge – combining both nature and urban amenities.
The location alone is a prize, with the high elevation offering breathtaking east-facing views, but the offer of large lot sizes and beautiful urban design are also turning heads.
A place of perfection
When people picture prestige property, typically, the Gold Coast is a top location on the list, which is unsurprising, according to Eleanor Creagh, senior economist at realestate.com.au.
“The Gold Coast offers the kind of living which is lifestyle and amenity-rich,” she explains.
Imagine golden beaches as far as the eye can see, marinas, bike trails and walking paths coupled with nature reserves with waterfalls.
But these natural elements are also matched with urban necessities.
The Gold Coast CBD is a thriving metropolis. There’s the Coolangatta Airport, trendy cafes and shopping spots galore.

Yet, despite all it has to offer, the Gold Coast is “still much more affordable than the east coast capitals of Sydney and Melbourne,” explains Creagh.
Proptrack data for February shows the combined median dwelling price for regional Queensland, which includes the Gold Coast, was just $606,000.
This compares to medians in other significant cities well above the million-dollar mark.
Additionally, the region has managed to defy the downward price trend seen in most Australian markets.
Across all dwelling types, prices on the Gold Coast jumped 1.43% over the previous quarter, according to the PropTrack Home Price Index in February.
Meanwhile, houses in the region were up 53.79% compared to pre-pandemic values – showing just how independent the location has become.
Additionally, it’s an area that’s changing. Once known for its flashy beachside apartments, the Gold Coast is emerging as a key destination for building larger luxurious abodes that offer the best of contemporary living.

Most recently, leafy and family-friendly postcodes like Worongary are gaining attention.
Easily accessible from the M1, this suburb offers an alluring green backdrop where buyers can craft contemporary and sustainable homes with fantastic views.
It’s especially popular among well-off buyers with an array of private schools nearby, along with recreational facilities, retail centres and more.
Best of the best
Located in prime position in Worongary is SkyRidge, a contemporary community that’s leaving no stone unturned when it comes to luxury living.
Spread across 342 hectares, it has plenty of lush open space, tropical gullies, and ecological corridors, all linked by 16km of walkways and bike trails, attracting buyers focused on fitness and well-being.
The undulating hills also allow at least 80% of the blocks to take in spectacular views of the city skyline and ocean.
“It’s the crème de la crème of all the new estates in South East Queensland,” says Brinton Keath, principal of leading sales agent Sala Property Group.
“It’s very exclusive, and some of the homes at the top of the project will be the most sought-after on the Gold Coast once they’re completed.”
Across the development, there will be 3,500 home sites ranging from 283 sqm to 1742 sqm.
The new community will also feature a central village hub hosting 28 specialty stores, a tavern and a medical precinct.
A retail hub is a key feature of SkyRidge.
Premium homes
According to Keath, SkyRidge is going beyond the average standard of new estates, promising top-tier in terms of style and design.
Buyers can bring their creative ideas, but home designs are also subject to covenants to ensure quality and aesthetics.
The homes’ interiors will tick all the boxes of a discerning buyer.
One unusual aspect is that front yard landscaping is included in each home lot so that every property has the best garden design.
Furthermore, homes are matched with beautifully crafted streetscapes and open areas.
Local Gold Coast artists have even been commissioned to create beautiful works of art that will set a unique tone for the new neighbourhood.
To top it off, the excellent location means residents will enjoy easy access to multiple transportation options, including the nearby Robina train station, the Coolangatta Airport, and the Pacific Motorway, which offers a quick 60-minute trip to Brisbane.
Not only are the homes spectacularly designed, the amenities close by are also top tier.
Keath says savvy buyers shouldn’t waste any time, with the new opportunity gaining plenty of attention since its official launch.
“I’ve been working in the property industry for over 20 years, and there’s never been a new residential estate better than SkyRidge in all of Queensland,” he says.
