One of Queensland’s cheapest ‘houses’ boasts a monthly mortgage repayment of about $95 a month.
But there is a catch, and you are already to late to call this one home.
A caravan at Carrara on the Gold that was listed for offers over $95,000 is now under offer.
The charming ‘house’
And it is easy to see why when you read the optimistic listing.
“Welcome to a realm of untapped potential and endless opportunities! “ the listing says.
“The door is open for you to breathe life into this charming caravan and annex.
“With a touch of your unique style, this mobile home can be transformed into your dream hideaway.”
But it gets better.
This “1-bedroom retreat is waiting with bated breath for your arrival” and as you step inside “you’ll be embraced by a spacious lounge, perfect for relaxation and creating cherished moments with your loved ones”.
The listing says that the adjoining dining area is “seamlessly connected to the kitchen” and “beckons you to embark on delightful culinary adventures”.

There is also a “versatile third living area that can effortlessly be transformed into an additional bedroom”.

Weekly site fees include water, and electricity is individually metered.

According to the home loan calculator on realestate.com.au, a first homebuyer with a deposit of $3900 towards th caravan would pay about $95 a month in repayments over 30 years.
That jumps up to $178 a month over a 10-year loan, and $1386 a month over one year.
The pool has water views
Even if the Reserve Bank of Australia increases interest rates by 0.25 per cent on Tuesday, monthly repayments over the life of a 30-year loan only increase by $3.
The median house price for an actual house in Carrara is now $925,000 after a 54.3 per cent increase in three years.
For units it is now $720,000 after a 59.6 per cent rise over the same period.
