Gold Coast crypto queen Sydel Sierra has listed the sprawling Hinterland mansion that Bitcoin bought.
The 34-year-old trader splashed $4.63m on the lavish Tamborine Mountain estate in December 2021, after retiring age 30 to live entirely off cryptocurrency, or digital assets including Bitcoin.
With her sights now set on a beachside pad, the trophy home on Curtis Rd is for sale via an expressions of interest campaign with Antony Rizzo, of Ray White Burleigh Group.
The property is listed without a price guide, and Sierra said she was open to an investor making payment in cryptocurrency.

PropTrack data shows house prices in Tamborine Mountain have increased 27 per cent since 2021, to a median of $963,750.
Perth-born industry sensation Sierra travelled the world through her early 20s, landing a spot at a Bitcoin trading camp in Lithuania in 2017. She turned $980 into more than $110,000 in 90 days with her breakthrough investment in the NEO cryptocurrency the same year.
Sierra was a multi-millionaire within two years and founded the Digital Wealth Group with her brother, Aden, advising more than 10,000 others on how to invest with minimal risk.
The house was her first big Bitcoin purchase

“This home really is my sanctuary,” Sierra said.
“It was my first big purchase from crypto and was almost like my reward to myself for making it.
“So many people are still confused by Bitcoin, but this home is proof that you can build some serious wealth from cryptocurrency.”
Named Numala – the word means ‘embrace’ in the Indigenous Yugambeh language – the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home on a lush 4.42ha lot has breathtaking views to the Gold Coast city skyline.

Features include an internal lift, pool, spa and fire pit with seating for 10.
Mr Rizzo said Tamborine Mountain’s peaceful lifestyle and luxury real estate appealed to a wide buyer demographic searching for a high-end weekend retreat, or a full-time tree change.
“You are in an exclusive gated community, but you have no neighbours and you really feel like the whole mountain is yours,” he said.
Sierra relished the serene setting for her trading, and ample space to house her collection of classic cars, including an Aston Martin Formula One edition and Porsche.
The cars don’t come with the house, though the new owners will take the keys to a golf buggy.

“I have beautiful collectable pieces of land all around Australia and we’ve been able to do these sorts of things through crypto,” Sierra said.
Cryptocurrency markets, since their debut around 2009, have experienced dramatic fluctuations, with huge peaks like Bitcoin’s surge in 2017 and free falls such as in 2021.
But while rising inflation through 2022/23 took some of the shine from speculative investment, Sierra said the opportunity for “generational wealth” through crypto was still strong.
“I believe, despite its volatility, crypto is one of the fastest appreciating asset classes in the world.
“You might make 1000 per cent in a 6 to 12-month period. There’s a window of opportunity to cash in on this asset class, because the gains we see today won’t always be around.”
